Implicatures

Just say thank you...Esther told me.

On some days when you least expect the unexpected to happen...it just happens. So I received this lovely bouquet of blooms this morning and I quickly texted her :

Mama : Y the flowers? To remind me of sthg?
Lyn : Yay ! You received it ! Was beginning to think the lady forgot . No la. Just thought you'd like something nice once in a while...

I thought the girls were in some kind of conspiracy... reminding me to be nice, kind or other implicatures ...



A saint ? Me a saint ? "tio boh?" (can it be possible?) Asked her again at dinner ...why the flowers? She quickly added ...just be gracious enough to receive , ma.
