When they went to Muar with me, they indulged in simple things; eat and buy.

Por por , the perfect host provided food, lodging, towels and company. The girls were overwhelmed by her hospitality and generosity.

Food...after tasting this; they asked for the place that suppled it.

Food ....I waited half an hour to get this for them.

Food...Puan Chow said she has never tasted this version ; mouth- watering.

Food...White radish ; a little too much ; so the taste was not as good as usual but nevertheless eat also.

After the 434 coffee served by Por por, Puan Loy could not resist buying 434 ! The others posed with the famous Muar Yong Sheng biscuits of numerous varieties.




But I say you must try the Mee Suah ...




Then they went next door to ransack the textile shop...

The Penolong Kanan Tingkatan 6 is fighting for youthfulness...








A piece for Eunice ( Puan Chow's girl) too... I told the proprietor that it should be a free gift ; I brought in customers to cover sales for the whole day ; she smiled but it was still not free.

Puan Looi went lelong , lelong ; 35% off . So cheap. Buy, buy, buy !

As usual, the once again youthful Aw with the gang leader showing off her piece.

Next, they scoured the eatery lanes... the authentic Muar otak otak...

The irresistable bite...Puan Aw is a cartoon ; so very wy sek !

Otak otak of rectangular shapes ; Puan Loy says when there is no food for lunch she will take a packet out from the freezer and lunch is ready.

Again the otak otak qouta taken up by the girls...30 sticks, 40 sticks, 50 sticks, 10 boxers , 5 boxes ... they went crazy to the delight of the otak otak man !





Again the buy ; this time the teo chew goodies ! A piece for 90 cents. I told the vendor that I began consuming them from 30 cents and now it is a whooping increase. With a little embarrassment he said ; blame it on the hike of the ingredients.

Wow we could not resist the wan ton noodles too ; a good wait of 40 minutes I was told. So I gave a tale of the rush we had to make for our trip back to KL and praised him on his deft work ; a simple trick and I jumped the queue. He gave me in 10 minutes. In our short conversation, he told me he did not go for higher studies and I suspect he only completed his primary education but Puan Loy told me his accomplice sent the noodles in a Mercedes! Who needs to go to the uni...sell wanton noodles and you can still be a millionaire at a young age...sigh. Teachers can be out of job too.

Even in the most unpredictable place, you can meet an ex-seafieldian ; Cherry of 5 Jujur 2004.

Married to a Muarian, they were in town for the weekend too ; Esther's batch.

The night before already saw the girls buying goods at the pasar malam along the Tanjung park.

Made in Muar ; a mere RM5 only; everyone got at least a pair.

Crocs, crocs, crocs, now it's real ; now it's not... the copy is so genuine that there's no more trust in the brand ; avoid it to overcome confusion and aches.

When these 2 croonies are together, they look for articles for the science exhibition ; next year. They harrassed the vendor on the mechanics of the boat and how they float ; the man gave up la...how to fight with 2 science teachers.

See, a mere day trip and they found the reason to shop and shop !

So after the hagglings and buyings, the next challenge is to store them in the cooler box to bring them home ; the ladies are great; apa pun boleh.

The contented faces after a day away from home giving the husbands the privilege of manning the home while they go free and easy !
