The Idol

It was a surprise!

Like the judges , I was in a state of stupor when the announcement was made last Thursday on the favourites of the American votes. Adam was placed second last. I honestly thought he sang well and delivered quite a piece the previous evening.

What went wrong? Why the sudden switch in favour?

It looks like it doesn't really matter what the judges said and favoured anymore. It is the American vote that counts and matters. The Americans seem to say they have some prerequisites for their choice of idol.

There were news of Adam's involvement with guys ... did it matter to the Americans? Maybe the idol must be someone wholesome, morally right and able to represent the say of the American public. If that is the criteria, then Adam maybe in trouble.

Danny Gokey will be the perfect choice then..I think...with his clean records.

But I thought one should put preference on the vocals ... however... an idol may mean more than than this. So, it looks like there is intense competition and it is really tough this time. A good guess may not even come true if the American people looks for more than the vocals in their idol.

Adam has competition...keen one now.

Let's wait and see.

hello teacher,
personally, I feel that it was just a gimmick to make America vote for Adam more by placing him in the bottom two.

hehe.
