Fun! Fun! Fun!

Overwhwelming response !
Broke record ...

This year's carnival was especially fun as we witnessed students, parents and teachers work together in great partnership. It was indeed a warm feeling to see the positive mood created on a bright, sunny day. This is very meaningful for the retiring pricipal as she strives to complete her mission of adding more toilet facilities for the school - her final footprint.

The evergreen supporter of the school was the guest of honour and cooked an egg for a good bid.

Sold! A plate of nasi lemak with the home-cooked egg for...

RM30.00 to Sally Pee !

We three Kings of Orient bring... the band of the school added music and colour to the day.

Even before 9am, they were qeueing for the electro dance hall...

4 Amanah's Ghost House... they may be even afraid of me!

In the hall, they twisted away...

What better way of playing golf ?

All covered within the four walls of the curtain...2 ladies were trying to see the future...good luck!

The ever popular dunking machine... the money churning machine ! Dunk!

I was told this teddy bear was finally won by the tallest boy of the school...guess who ? That bear cost RM300.00!

This was a new feature I observed... some students broke into a dance in the midst of the hot afternoon ; it was spontaneous and original.

Food... it was aplenty. Too much food...

He is a philantropist; this vegetable wholesaler...he donated a lorry-full of vegetables to 1 Elok. I asked the form teacher how she got the deal and her answer ? " I opened my mouth and asked" So she got it ! Best entrepreneur of the year; I award her. But really, I was overwhelmed with gratitutde and repeatedly thanked him for his generous gesture.

That's the 1 Elok teacher selling the vegetables for the day !

A dollar for a one ! It was a Santa Claus offer and pleased teachers and parents .

The vegetables were a hit as teachers did some marketing while carrying out their duties in school. It was a carnival indeed!

That's the organising chairman seeking for good offers at the stall too !

Nizar's mum... Aunt Suhaili makes the best coffee; out of the world ! She fixed the special concoction from 9am to 3 pm never wanting of customers! I vote her mother of the year.

The sensata man had stories about technologies ...

Introducing Sally Pee and partners....

Call Sally !

This is an exemplary set of parents... the Soons! Whenever there is a carnival, they extend their help in gifts, prizes, products and even an i-phone! Lucky teacher-Joyce Xavier! I vote Jonathon of 4 Damai the best salesman of the year. I swooned under his spell .

Ms Shahrizad, the petite one is one gung ho lady when she cooks the Johor Laksa...promise you...can never be bought anywhere.

Cikgu Norhareeza was the saving star for 5 Hormat...without her it would be gone as the form teacher is on maternity leave !

The teachers were on call 24 hours !

We were dressed to be identified as a team to achieve and scored we did !
Perhaps, some best moments were when some old boys and girls popped in to say hello.

Keith is always with us in soul and spirit though physically away in Monash University.
Amidst the merriment, a student went to my office to tell me that someone wanted to see me..."Teacher, this man has tattoo all over him !" I wondered who could that be ?

I could not for the life of me tear myself away from what I saw! Ouch isn't that painful? Why ah? why? I just cannot understand !

The one and only Julien Oh! Oh my, oh my! That's Charleston in the centre...Puan Sim's protege of 5 Amanah. A married man now...Puan Loy told me he's got a good girl for a wife; another ex-Seafieldian. One of the twins Zephr? Now a pilot...sigh...they got us running around like clowns when in school then...1998-1999. They laugh now...

Are you with Andrea , Kishok ? No...

That's the budding pilot of MAS...Marvin Ng; must be popular among ladies. All you have got to do is to send me complimentary tickets...

Meet Jason and Mei Chi; they have been through thick and thin...still going strong.
It was good to see old boys and girls giving their support and remembering their Alma Mater.
Hei guys and gals ... how about an Alumni ?

But perhaps the best lesson learnt and taught through this carnival was to see the after carnival participation of the children. They had to get the school in order again for school on Monday. They did not run away from the last part; the most difficult and 'funless' part. Kudos boys and girls for unrelentless help and support. It's worth everything seeing you all through a part of your life in school.

And so...the school will have to deliver and embark on the next project...building a new block of toilets for you.
Thank you , thank you, thank you to all who have contributed in big and small ways.
Indeed a good carnival.
