The Longin Tea

The Green Tea

Before this visit , I know less about the tea. We were informed there is the red, black, Oolong and the best supposedly is the unadulterated green tea.

Beside the West Lake of Hangzhou are rolling fields of the green tea which was a sight to us.

Many tea lovers traversed across borders for the love of this tea...

The Chinese character speaks a thousand words; the two crosses on top represent a plant that sits on the number 8 which in turn covers the number 10 and another 8 ; connotating that tea lovers live to the ripe old age of 88...well said ; who created the Chinese mind?

At the entrance this man demonstrated the laborious task of the preparatory stage...

Stir frying the tea with his bare hands; it spoke of a personal touch.

But it was a business setting out to woo and expose the untrained eyes to the gimmicks of tea drinking and caught us unaware...

The catchy bouncy movement of 3 pours over each cup by the expert got our eyes glued to the tea pouring process...

Better still this gentle sweetie pie demonstrated the tea drinking etiquette and bought our hearts with her skill and sing-song melodious voice...good marketing strategy.

Like any other commodity, the Longin Tea comes in various grades; that part of the leave that gives the best aroma must cost more and drinking tea here is an expensive affair ; in the thousands of Ren Min Bi !

The green tea is craved for its healing qualities ; cancels cholesterol, removes diabetes, cleanses the liver and you may name the rest. If your eyes are tired, allow the vapour from the hot tea to soothe them...

Perhaps her most convincing act was when she poured iodine and some rice into some water; it resulted in not so healthy a colour denoting the acidic condition of the stomach after meals...

Then lo and behold when she poured the Longin Tea into the solution, it immediately changed into a more acceptable look ! The stomach is cleansed! That had all of us wanting to drink tons and tons of tea at that instant; the magic potion.

There must be some fine qualities and truths about the plant as proved through history and the many who lived long with good tea drinking habits.

Drink the Longin Tea for longetivity ! But be ready to pay through your nose; hundreds and hundreds and after the green tea, you drink no other tea!

That is if you are convinced ...
