Sara calls Robert daddy and this man she calls papa...no,no he is not the father-in- law neither have I been naughty.
Yes...you've got it right. He is her godfather. Way back in the 80s when the Kan clan could not produce a female child, sister no. 2 after wailing for days after the third son was born insisted that a female child be seconded to the Kan clan. "Who will look after me when I am old? I need a daughter!"
There, she calls sister no. 2 mama and calls me mummy...how lucky can one get...best of both worlds.
So, she gets to travel round the world with them and gets special treatment during Chinese New Year with a bigger red packet. She got to go to Down Under for Kor Kor's convocation and she can just pick anything from their stores.
Well she missed her trip to Hong Kong and Macau in 2003 cos she travelled with the Kans to Europe. So you see when you have this you dont have that.
She used to weep silently in her primary school days when she could not express her 'undivided devotion' to either family. You see the Kans and Laus stayed back to back when the children were young and each time we asked her who would she look after when mama or mummy got older she would candidly reply " I will look after mama Lee and you". We were nasty , right ? How could we reduce her to that? Regret.
Last night she baked a Tiramisu cake for papa Chun and he blew joyously. "Wu sim, wu sim..." (very thoughtful of her) I should think.
Tiramisu
By the way, she received 2 orders for blueberry cheesecake and sold at a very reasonable price of RM35.00 each.
Talking about papa Chun, he promised to get a pair of nice shoes for me ( a size bigger than mama Lee's) and Sara's a size smaller from ...guess who ? Even celebrities wear them.
