Going Eco...

The Eco...environment-friendly way.
This morning the Star reported that a new trend has emerged among diesel users. Now there is demand even for used cooking oil ; a thing seldom heard of in the past. There is also this company called Noble Greenworld Sdn Bhd which is keen in purchasing this used commodity for 60 sen per kilo. Just imagine the oil that has been used for deep frying can now be sold for a price ! Reusing - one of the tenets of recycling is put into practice when the used oil is transformed into biodiesel which is to function as an alternative to the normal fuel. Good practice.

So I was also bugged by some friends to discard the disinfectants and dish washing liquids in the home and to go the eco way...
Guess what...producing a magic potion out of fruit peels ! I have been told that this liquid can replace floor disinfectants, dish washing solutions and even fertilisers ! Table tops and surfaces will be free of cockroaches, ants, lizards with a light wash.
Orchids, lilies, daffodils and the bougainvillas will be in full bloom after a spray of the liquid.
Do you believe in this eco enzyme?
Wanna try and make this magic potion yourself ? Home-made ; safe and cheap.

Here it goes ... the concoction.
10 litres of water
3 kilos of fruit peels ( any type of fruit - apple, orange, water melon, papaya , apricot ...name it )
1 kilo of brown unprocessed sugar

1 kilo of brown unprocessed sugar ( gula merah)

Orange fruit peels ( or other fruits)

Affter I have been informed that I needed to collect 3 kg of fruit peels over a period of time, I decided to make a quicker move. I went to the night market last Sunday and hoped to collect some fruit peels but lo and behold...the fruit seller said I could have all the left over fruits that were not suitable for sale and so I managed to collect 3 kgs at a go... no need to wait. That's why the picture above reflected actual fruits and not just the peels !

10 litres of water was measured and poured ito a container.

Then the kilo of sugar was added to the water.

Finally, the 3 kgs of fruit peels were added to the solution for the fermentation process.

The air-tight container is then concealed with a cap. Note that for the first couple of weeks, this cap need to be lifted everyday to allow gas to escape...otherwise it may explode because of the fermentation process. This concoction is only ready after 3 long months !

After the long waiting period the magic potion ready for use will look like the liquid shown above. The fermented solution will be poured into bottles and put to good use - the eco friendly way.

Of course, if you feel that the amount is too bulky, we can try a different combination which may be even more practical. This time we can use empty cooking oil bottles for the process. How about using 300gms of brown unprocessed sugar, 900gms fruit peels and 3 litres of water ?

Try the eco enzyme for free and more positve results...and if you use orange peels your house will smell fresh and clean...my friends reported to me.

I am waiting for my magic potion ... in 3 months' time.
