Father and Son

Soo Kee (father).
Meng Chuan (son).
Their management styles.

These two emo kids decided that they should accompany us for an evening in town last Saturday. So where to go ? Of course the emo kid exclaimed excitedly "Sungei Wang!" to the agony of daddy. To town on a Saturday night ? Suicide ! He hates the crawl but gave in nevertheless.
Next challenge. Where to eat?
"Dad, I remember you used to give us sumptuous treats on beef noodles. ; you know the one near Bukit Bintang. What's the place call now?"
Soo Kee , of course.

Looking at the set up of the place and its immediate surroundings one can tell that it has been there for umpteen years...50s? 60s? It's known for its beef noodles concoction.

It's really out of the world. Different and delicious.

Of course they have other versions of noodles and cusines, all cooked to absolute tastes.

So they 'woked' away the whole evening with non-stop orders from guests and customers near and far.

There was this coach which brought customers to the door step. Funny how people go all out just for that much-talked about dish. They must try ; dead or alive. But her customers are aplenty alright.

Caucasians ...

They looked Latin Americans ?

Indonesians ?...

I wanted to see Soo Kee. Who is Soo Kee ? Is this him? I wonder.

What caught my attention too was the eating place opposite Soo Kee's restaurant. It's Soo Kee's son's unit! Son, Meng Chuan also offers beef and prawn noodles ; just like his father.

But not too many customers. Why? Isn't he a chip off the old block? Is there a hidden tale?Father and son operating opposite one another. Why the competition or is it expansion? I have been told that in USJ 4 there is also another son operating the same business...but the verdict is... nothing beats papa's version.

Of fathers and sons...but it was a good treat and to have the 2 emo kids tagging along.

We can't ask for more.
