The Baker

Sara, the baker of the home.
So, it's really convenient to have someone in the home ready to take your order and make it happen.

Dear Sara insisted that she baked a cake for Kong Kong on his 90th birthday a couple of weeks ago cos it's so much cheaper. Well... it's not exactly the cost but the privilege of having the chance to bake a cake for 90 year old grand dad. How many can turn 90 just like that?

Even the bible says 3 score plus 1 is the norm and the rest are bonus years.

To my dear father, Happy Belated Birthday. May you taste of many good years to come.

Many came from far and near, but the most endearing moment was when he held little Yi Jay, the latest addition to the home ...when the oldest meets the youngest ; Yi Jay took an instant liking to great, great grandpa.

Sara again took the challenge today to bake a cheesy carrot cake for Jie Jie Der Wen but lamented that it looks too home-made and not up to her expectation. Told her it's ok as it's the taste that matters most.

For a first timer, the carrot cake tasted perfect...very right; as right as teacher Periachee's version...the teacher who has been associated with 'The Carrot Cake' baker of the school.

Of cakes and Sara...she is crazy over baking.
