Sad beyond words
To the people of Japan; sorry again...
Inundated with heart-breaking news, Kong Kong and Por Por lament each time they watch the box and wait for the latest news. Kong at 93 has never seen such horror and sorrow and watch in stupor at the possible ill effects of the nuclear disaster.To the people of Japan; sorry again...
Kong Kong sang praises for the Japanese locals of Sendai at the discipline they display in times of disaster. He noticed the set and calm spirit the people held and commended the high moral values practised. No looting and uncalled for chaos. It's as though they have been prepared for the worst and at the same time ready to cooperate for the good of everyone.
The morning papers sadden her readers because such measure of horror and sadness are just too much for anyone to go through. I witnessed a new mother cry at the birth of her child in the evening news; a child born at such untimely moments to a destiny so cruel. Grandparents, parents ans children too shocked and bewildered at the disaster facing them ; having to confront other consequences that may be even threaten their survival and existence.
We are consoled to see many helping hands within and without the country; international help coming in without fear and ready to sacrifice. So many unsung heroes for a humanitarian cause and truly seal the lyrics of the song : it's a small, small world ...
A world of tears,
It's a world of hope;
And a world of fears,
It's a small world after all...
It's a world of hope;
And a world of fears,
There's so much we can share
That it's time we're awareIt's a small world after all...
We pray that the victims will be sustained in strength and grit to face the bleak times.
