SPM Jitters

The Annual Jitters.
You will know what I mean when you have to wait for your children's public exam results; the butterflies in the stomach and the sudden urges to go to the toilet. At whatever age, you will still feel the jitters. So it is no different this year.

The greatest difference of course is it is one of the best years.
SPM 2010 is good.

Every year for the last don't know how many years Pn Chuah and I will have to face the music forefront. We get the privilege to read the results but we will also be the first to feel the pain.

The 2010 batch is an unusual batch. Vocal and interactive, they are the ones who put up musicals like the Grease, Mama Mia and Foot loose. They were lovely children.

Congratulations they say to one another; and yet I saw a few comforting others. They are a strange lot. They cry when they see Bs and Cs and not getting all As was a 'sin'! Really, they don't know that students who become doctors and engineers may be controlled by students who go for financial degrees and they in turn are controlled by students who are into businesses and not having to have that string of As ! So take heart dear children; don't cry.

Puan Loy says take a shot of us ! Willian Ngeow who always strive for that perfect score.

Nicholas the dancer and singer did extremely well and love to hug us...hugging Madam Chow.

But of course, the suave young man Justin; another singer and performer did his parents proud.

Mrs. Wang the ex-principal could not resist coming to congratulate her protegee; children whom she had chided, led, loved and taught.

Look for Shawn, the band leader of the school. He's the guy in black who proves that being dedicated to the school band does not make him any lesser in his academic achievement...straight As.

Eunice on the right is Madam Chow's girl; another straight As holder while Wen Lee broke my heart when she asked if she could take a photo though she missed an A. Of course, dear.

These 3 hold good records. Perfect A+ score... William, Pragaash and Shin Yiing.

Feng Wai Yi, a helpful, polite and dedicated student did her alma mater proud too with her perfect 10A+. Her mama was beaming so perfectly.

The stage could not hold them, only 50 were present; the straight As boys and girls...some were missing. What an honour to see them later bloom into men and women ready to make a mark in this world.

Thank you dear children for working so hard and making your alma mater proud.

And what a perfect day to recruit the Alumni call.
Next on our agenda; to remember everyone by forever and ever.
