The Carnival Pact

Do you like what you see?

The school is blessed with a strong PTA from its infancy years and responsible leaders in the team have always made it a point to improve its physical amenities. The PTA works hard to raise funds for such purposes annually. Last year (2010) was not the exceptional and a great motivating force from the previous principal drove home the idea of setting up a new block of toilets for the children. Do you not agree that rest areas are never too many? We live in the fear of breakdowns and would be horrified at the prospect of children not able to find enough outlets for emergency times. Thus the idea of an R & R ( rest and relax) was mooted and the task force bull-dozed through the challenge despite many setbacks. The constant fear of not able to get it going for lack of funds was also a reminder that if we break our pact, it will mean a tough time to raise funds the following year. So come hook or crook, we want it to happen. So set your eyes on it; for the ex-students this is to tell you that your Alma mater has not rested on her laurels. She fights tooth and nail for her protegee.
Where shall the spot be?

This was the best we could choose from; in between the herbal garden and block C.

I think the choice is a perfect one; good use of space.

It was with much relief that we saw the ground breaking effort been done. There was a juncture when we wondered if it could ever take off.

The marked space allocated for this great dream.

The first bricks laid to seal off every possible doubt and qualm.

Yes, excitedly we see the progress each day.

Often we see the boys , not the girls though , peeping into the building. I have witnessed some more adventurous ones putting their feet into the place despite warnings. They cannot believe it happening and so many times the boys said thank you for the effort to us.

There ; the framework confirmed. We hope to see more in the days to come. So ladies and gentlemen when you all come home next for a visit to the school, come see our R&R.

More to come.

A pact full filled.

More pacts to come.
