Goodbye

Again; another goodbye.

This post is dedicated to ex Seafieldians ; from 1994 - 2010.

Ms Goh Poo Eng retired today.

With lots of love...

From your students and fellow teacher friends...

With a choke, she told us that she had mixed feelings on this day. Everyone retires once from the civil service especially if it is a full term one. She retires on her 56th birthday and looks forward to the days ahead when she can be the owner of her time. She plans to travel, read, bake and potter around her garden more. She shared that she may do some voluntary teaching as money is not her main concern. She will help in the church and be more active in some social commitments.

The afternoon supervisor sang praises of her dedication, commitment and perseverance in her duties and further reiterated that she has been a good daughter of her work place; never refusing him in any chores given her. She is blessed with good health, exemplary discipline and good nature as she has achieved the epitome of good civil service behaviour having accumulated 100% attendance for a good 12 years out of her 16 years and 4 months' service in Seafield.

That is a feat !

Her love for the children is seen in her endless effort put into the Christian Fellowship Society and being the founder teacher of the Eco Rangers Club. She is well loved and respected by the young and old. We are proud to have her in the history of the school and wish her the best.

The school appreciates her...

The PTA chief came in to appreciate her...

The staff appreciates her...

The children love her...

The President of the CF club crowns her...

Ain't she sweet with that ... just retired !

A beautiful joget for her...

This child told her that he would sing for her...

Students lined up obediently to bid farewell...

The versatile choir rendered repeatedly...Should all acquaintance be... Auld Lang Syne; a rendition now too familiar.

Ms Goh, we love you...

Teachers poured out their affection...

Ms Goh take care and God Bless...

Goodbye...

And not without leaving her last lines of love for her protegee...

Let my teaching fall like rain

and my words descend like dew,

like showers on new grass,

like abundant rain on tender plants

...The Song of Moses...

To God be the Glory is her personal song to her God.
